Man U but I Chelsea will be a tough competitor to Man U.

This year will be interesting to say the least.
Manuel Pellegrini is a well respected coach and he has a great squad at his disposal, probably the best in the league at the moment.
Jose Mourinho has always had success biting at his heals where ever he goes so it is hard to say he will not manage to get Chelsea performing better this year.
Arsene Wenger has managed to keep Arsenal in the Champions League which was arguably the most impressive managerial display last season, so I suspect they will be up there towards the end. I doubt they have the ability to be challenging for the league title but they can cause some trouble in the top four this year.
Next to Arsenal I think Manchester United are the next most stable club in last years top four. Yes they changed manager but a lot of the previous staff working for Sir Alex Ferguson have remained under David Moyes and previous players for Man Utd have moved into coaching roles so I expect little to change at United and for them to be difficult to surpass in pursuit of this years title.
I think the top four for this season will be the same as last season, probably with different finishing positions but I don't see any of the other clubs getting into the top four. Liverpool who were once regular top four finishers seem to still be struggling and the Luis Suarez saga is not helping their team, I feel sorry for Brendan Rodgers because it seems he has inherited a team in turmoil.
Tottenham have been knocking on the door recently but have been denied the fruits of a top four finish by what can only be described as bad luck two years ago. They have a great squad and Andre Villas-Boas seems to be getting them to perform well, I'm just not sure they will break through considering the pedigree of last years top four.
Everton have been regularly in the top 6 under David Moyes and Roberto Martinez has arguably been great at Wigan so the expectation is for a continuation of similar results. I'm not sure that they will be knocking on the door to get into the top four but I expect a top ten finish considering the squad and how upper management operates.
Out of the clubs I've covered above I would guess that this is how the top of the table will look:
Man Utd
Chelsea
Man City
Arsenal
Tottenham
Liverpool
Everton

Generally this thread is for people who enjoy watching football not people who like to go around commenting for the sake of it.
I personally back United as I support them. Will be a tough year though. The lack of a decent midfielder (Still!!!!!!!!) is going to bite us in the arse.

Ditto on that - as usual it won't be the "best" team, it'll be the one with the deepest pockets.
Used to be a big football fan, but these days English football is full of:
(a) foreign players;
(b) overpriced bozo's who think that playing football is #2 behind getting in the press and pushing whatever their latest 'product' is;
I'd like to see Arsene Wenger win personally, not through liking the Gunners specifically, more that him and "the special one" are the only managers with any charisma at all.
says the ex Derby County, Forest and QPR fan.
EDIT: on second thoughts, don't really care just as long a Spurs get a damned good slapping from everyone else ... can't stand them.

Yeh and Mrss_tree's got a point, after all this is supposed to be a technology site:

About Us
HEXUS.net is the UK’s number one independent technology news and reviews website.
Our core focus is PC systems and components. If you’re interested in getting the best possible bang for your buck when buying or building a PC, then this is the place for you. But over the years we’ve also diversified into gaming, technology business and mobile devices, so we should be able to cater for all your tech needs.
And a QOTW about English football doesn't fit in that remit at all :redcard: Irrespective of that fact that it completely ignores those who are: not interested in football, not from England, not interested in "Premier" football (perhaps supporting a club in one of the other divisions). I can only assume that it was a slow news day in chez Hexus...
Suggestion, if you're determined to get the footy put centre stage :yawn: then how about an applicable question - after about 10 seconds thought I came up with "Goal line technology - is it a good thing, and if so, should it be made more widespread?"
Re: Features - QOTW: Who's your pick for the 2013-14 Premier League title?
why don't we just give it a miss this yr take all there wages and whats spent of football and pay off the national debt ?would be a far better way to spend the money .. instead of seeing a load of fancy self righteous overpaid twerps running around for 90 mins or better yet give them swords and make it into gladiator style ...
Re: Features - QOTW: Who's your pick for the 2013-14 Premier League title?
Liverpool. Though I've been saying that for over 20 years now!
Re: Features - QOTW: Who's your pick for the 2013-14 Premier League title?
Based on this it surely must be Arsenal!
Feels like 1998 again ;)
