At the price, I would almost say it was too much, but really it is not. That being said, I don't overly like the top plate, but oh well.. Out of my range anyway..

yeah.. the top plate is fugly, but the mirror/transparency is a cool idea. Wonder if it will make it to any other cases..

Indeed, nice idea but could have been better implemented.

Yep, whoever buys this better be prepared to wipe it down everyday.

I do like the looks and the idea is pretty cool but it just doesn't seem practical, and then there's the price......

Re: News - In Win launches the 'Tou' glass-mirror and aluminium chassis

As a design piece I always enjoy seeing InWin's creations. My best guess is that the top panel is styled off the Bird's nest Olympic stadium, not sure what it has to do with 'transparency' as an ethos though. Nice to see an /interesting/ case that isn't so aggressive I think it's going to hold me at knife-point, rather, a more sophisticated approach to taking my money

Get this, get some mid to high end parts, build a pc, make apple fans jizz in their pants, charge for it as much as mac pro, profit.

I love it - nice to see a company not afraid to push the boundaries and give consumers a choice of a premium product. Why shouldn't they give us lot an opportunity to something unique? (obviously if you can afford it)

Not sure I agree with either of you here with regards to the finishing of it...
    1. How frequently do you keep touching up your pc? Aside from the occasional clean or plugging in a usb cable, don't touch mine. And when I clean i polish it down anyways because of fingermarks i leave on it.
    2. Dust is an issue really on any case, as long as it has dust filters I'm happy (no mention of it here).
    3. It has carry handles, so if you need to shift around do it by these.
    4. What else could they do for a 'better implementation'? A bit of a vague, 'bazooka to kill a fly' comment, no reference at all as to what you are talking about.

I can think of several things actually:

    1. Dust filters (shouldn't even need to be said on an $800 case....)
    2. Better fan layout as you will get horrible negative pressure which makes a dust filter-less case even more dusty when using front as intake and top as exhaust. Conversely, if the top fans are used as intake there is hardly any exhaust which would trap heat in the case.
    3. Actually including a pre installed lighting system like some NZXT cases do instead of making customers pay even more money for the mirror/clear effect to work.
    4. Better cable management holes with grommets and more than 4 slots. The 8 pin mobo in particular will have to stretch a long way from the hole in order to reach the plug on most boards.

Overall for the price its not been though out well enough and is lacking features cases a 10th of the price have.

    1. Yup both agree on that
    2. If you are paying $800 for a case - you are going to put liquid cooling in it. You can tell from the configuration with a triple top exhaust that the intention is to have a radiator installed at the top. This is a super high end case (at least on price...) for super high end systems.
    3. Totally subjective to the user. I personally don't like having my system lit up like vegas. An option for it sure - but not compulsory.
    4. I've seen far worse cable management than this, its not the greatest - but not the worst. This is a boutique product and in turn the function is secondary to its form.

I would never actually buy this case - just wanna that point out. But you can't knock them for trying to carve a place into an elitist market to sit alongside those who would happily spend £2000 on a GPU...
