Now that is a high-end GPU and not like the overpriced crap Nvidia have been chucking out, 256 bit cards at over £300 lol.
Titan and 780 are a bit more like it spec wise but still overpriced by stupid amounts. This 512 bit beast from AMD should kill a titan and come in cheaper than a 780.
looks like I've found my new GPU for BF4
Obviously it's only a rumour, gonna have to wait until launch and some reviews to come out before we know for sure. But if this is accurate then holy crap, it looks great.
Am I reading this article right and the latest from AMD is going to come in around the same price as my current 7970, but deliver performance akin (or better) than a Geforce Titan?
If so, then - as usual - I bought the current gen too late. There's got to be a downside of this - either it's a power vampire or sounds like a leaf blower.
Wonder if you could Crossfire one of these with an old 7970?
that clock speed and its priced lower than titan. We'll see the real version later.
The fact that the die is only 424mm2 yet it has a 512-bit memory bus makes me think this information isn't reliable. Considering they are still on 28nm, the chip would be considerably larger. That and the fact that it doesn't really make sense to go with 512-bit full stop, for how small the performance increase will be it's really not worth it.
I too want a Titan caliber card for GTX 770 prices but I don't think it's going to happen.
It is larger than their previous chips, and pretty much the largest GPU chip they've ever released.
Depends on your limiting factor. If you can't get faster RAM/memory controller, but you are bandwidth limited then you have no option but to go for a wider bus. That and the fact that it doesn't really make sense to go with 512-bit full stop, for how small the performance increase will be it's really not worth it.
That said, I'm also sceptical of a 512bit bus.
Actually that's the most believable bit of them all.I too want a Titan caliber card for GTX 770 prices but I don't think it's going to happen.
Looks like it handles AA slightly better than nvidia's cards, I do hope these are real and the price is no higher than £300 for a reference model.
The two parts are probably going to launch at 400 to 450 quid and 350 to 400 quid like the HD7970 and the HD7950.
Edit!!
Anyway, here are some more pictures in this post I made earlier:

In the second link there are PCB pictures.
wait yes .. i'm all wet .. just thinking about it .. amd can't quiet kill intel .. but by god it will murder NVidia ..
What does it matter now if men believe or no?
What is to come will come. And soon you too will stand aside,
To murmur in pity that my words were true
(Cassandra, in Agamemnon by Aeschylus)
To see the wizard one must look behind the curtain ....
Now that is a Titan beating performance WOW !
So when AMD said they weren't going to replace the 7970 in 2013 they were fibbing again then. Way to impress your share holders
I also figure that the first units are going to be pretty expensive anyway, plus there'll be the usual settling in issues with a new design. So the smart money will be waiting until Q1/2 2014 when the supplies are more plentiful and the prices lower.
On the other hand doesn't that also mean some decent deals on the current 7900 gear which, if we're going to go all "cold light of day", can probably still "cut it" for the forseeable?
If they can get them out around the same time as BF4, they might end up with some bumper sales figures leading up to Christmas.
