Is there such a thing as too much Star Wars?

I'll admit, Episodes I, II and III weren't great, but I can't wait to see light sabres on the big screen again.

I agree, it could be good but I do feel about 1 every year maybe a touch to much and something like 1 every 1.5 is good!

I wonder where the story will go, I feel that the end of star wars films kinda should be left there where as they should try and go further back in the lore and just go way way way back before any of episode 1 etc. Go to an era like what the old republic games were, brilliant stuff there .

Knights of the old republic 3... please!.

That first image makes me cry inside, like the first time I experienced Jar Jar Binks...

Think they might be trying to milk this cash cow too hard. I guess only time will tell whether this strategy will give us lots of great films or just be a shameles cash grap to get the last few $'s possible from the IP.

I'm going to just wait and see/remain hopeful

I like the idea of the spin off films, depending on the characters chosen, and films based on KOTOR I & II would just be awesome

    Sums up my thoughts.

But then I'm young enough to remember the first and second films as awesome, rather than travesties, unlike most of the internet

Can't stand Star Wars, but looking forward to the yearly advertising even less.

Re: News - From 2015 there will be a new Star Wars film every year

This story is different on more film related sites.
Disney will release 5 films over five years, three will be part of a trilogy, ie first one in 2015, then 2017 and 2019, inbetween will be side films.

Re: News - From 2015 there will be a new Star Wars film every year

For me, Star Wars is at its best (or is actually good) when at its darkest moments - The KOTOR games, the old republic comics, Empire. This almost assures these dark moments, in film, are gone. At least it would seem that way.
