Want a 5.5" Nokia which can match my Note 2 for quality. Then I will consider Windows 8 Mobile.
Just upgraded to it. No huge differences but the custom tones for text messages are a nice to have. Will be interesting to see if this has resolved the bluetooth issues with car handsfree units.
Any idea how Microsoft are going to roll this out, is it:
a. Microsoft -> Consumer, possibly with a small detour via the phone maker (Apple style)
or
b. Microsoft -> Phone_Maker -> Mobile_Network_Company -> Consumer (eventually) (Google style)
Got two WP8 devices in the house and it'll be interesting to see how quickly they get updated.
Normally it is option B but there have been rumors of a shift to option a.
I just signed up to the development program, downloaded a microsoft app, accept the terms and the phone picked up that the update was available. Gets around the carrier waiting periods.
Slighty confused by this - isn't 8.1 just around the corner anyway? Still, can't complain about more features being added!
I'm hoping that having a Nokia will mean minimal wait for the update to be rolled out, given that MS own Nokia now! (Or near enough at least...)

8.1 is the desktop update, WP8 is on a different schedule
Old puter - still good enuff till I save some pennies!
