OK, iWant a Trio
Sounds like an idea device, depending on it's launch price. I do wish they would make one without a plastic shell (unibody aluminium would be nice!) and that it wasn't Asus making it..but as a device category it would be a nice replacement for my ageing Mac Air.
Looking forward to seeing pricing for the Trio!
Could be a lot worse - e.g. could be Acer we're talking about.
u/b Alu would be fine but wouldn't that make it a lot more expensive? Which is fine I guess for you Apple fans, not so good for the rest of us!
Pricing on the T100 looks good, assuming that they don't do the £1=$1 trick, but it'd be the T300 that'd pique my interest.
Well if we think of it as Transformer prime type quality then the premium wouldn't be too bad - I would expect the Trio to be £500-£600 with the dock in that sort of quality. True unibody (Apple style) would be much more yes, looking at nearer the £1k mark then I would guess.
at £500-£600 I would happily replace my macbook air with one..getting on for 3 years old now and it's showing - but still worth £500 on the open market so it would be a small cost-to-change for me
Picked up one of these in the week. It's a pretty good low cost laptop, but a bit meh as a tablet.
Gaming performance is surprisingly good though! Won't blow people away, but for a 2w tablet CPU its not bad at all.
2W is SDP not TDP.
