Even if they just switch the $ for a £ that's a damn good price for an all-in-one watercooling setup for gpu's. I'll be getting a pair for my 6870's I think.

Does this mean the GPU Boost will go higher because it will be able to improve performance even more before hitting 80degrees?

You do understand that the $29.99 is just for the bracket + fan and you still need to buy an AIO cooler to use with it, right? So it's the price of, say, a Corsair H50 + $29.99? OTOH, add it to one of the refurbed Corsair Hydro that Scan are offering right now, and it is very cheap - you could grab that, the cooler and an R9 290 for < £400. That should give you some scarily good bang-for-buck...

And just to clarify, this is just a mounting kit and doesn't come with the actual cooler for anyone that gets confused

Thanks, I missed that when I scan-read the article. Strikes me that there's an opportunity there for someone to bundle this bracket with a suitable cooler.

And speaking of coolers, how come there's no Coolermaster cases on that supported list? Pretty sure something like the HAF932 would be able to fit this.

Actually been thinking of switching to an AIO water-cooling solution - but for my CPU not GPU. That said a better cooler than XFX have seen fit to install on my 7970DD Black would be appreciated.

Career status: still enjoying my new career in DevOps, but it's keeping me busy...

Re: News - NZXT Kraken G10 liquid cooling GPU mounting kit announced

This is what i have been hoping for for my R9 290X. Good card but to keep it max clocks without too much heat I've set a manual fan profile but that means the fan is at approx 70% under load to keep it at around 75 degrees and its crazy noisy.

I didn't fancy trying to build my own custom loop but then again as I have just been made redundant I have the time to start thinking about case mods and water cooling.

been there and done this using a mount made from dwood at overclockers net forums using a H80i on my GTX 680, works a treat and still managed to keep half the stock cooler on it for the VRM and Ram.

Why Hexus has to use a picture that doesn't represent what you actually get for $29.99 I don't know. It's misleading.

Re: News - NZXT Kraken G10 liquid cooling GPU mounting kit announced

Was excited to see this until I realised from the comments above that you don't actually get the cooler for the price, Although if you have a spare compatible AIO cooler laying around that maybe you've since upgraded from its not a bad idea, although looking at the size of it would sli / crossfire be an option? Then again would you want to have to mount two 120mm rads somewhere when you could just get a 240mm + custom loop and have space for crossfire / sli and get better performance? But for someone with a spare cooler, and only one card its a good option.... I think lol

We have been in talks with Dwood for over a year. He was compensated for his reference and design. He gave us NZXT his blessing on the bracket.

So there was no spying or anything of that sorts.

deadpool does the Kraken coolers have the same control as the corsair H**i coolers and the ability to read from a different temperature monitor like the corsair link software?
