I think its more stunning than the samsung Note
Absolutely beautiful. A perfect alternative to the ipad mini, especially as it's 8 inches (yes the extra inch makes a huge difference over all those 7 inchers out there...).
Just needs a reasonable price now!
Retina is just a marketing term to describe pixel density (the exact definition of which Apple will chop and change to make sure they can milk the term's marketing potential for all its worth), and yes this LG blows its direct competitor, the iPad Mini clear out of the water with more than twice the pixel density (273 on the LG vs 132 on the iPad Mini).
Waiting for these to hit 250g before I purchase one, something held in the hand constantly needs to be light, not had any joy with the current offerings, 250g is my upper limit!
Having had a go with a Nexus7(2) i was left less than impressed, its still to bezelly (is that a word). The iPad mini is the right form factor for a small tablet with far less bezel and this LG looks competitive from that viewpoint.
It does though need a 32GB option as well or/and a micro sd slot.
I pad $300 for mine and I definitley think LG overpriced it a little. Also, LG should've not bother with the optimus UI thing..it's such a mess! Still, the huge screen is why I got the LG pad in the first place. Of course, i had to also get a screen thing to protect it which i got from GEARMAXX ebay at a good price.
