You can buy the physical cards in Tesco as well, not sure which was first though

Game started selling the codes themselves (printed on a receipt) over a year ago. I guess if you wanted a fancy plastic card this is new?

As the guys above said, Game and the like have been selling these for about a year now. Are these vouchers different from the one's being sold in these stores?

Good for giftcards I guess but as above have said GAME and others have been doing these for a while in paper format.

I used the GAME one a few times as they randomly do +20% extra on trade in when getting steam credit which is just awesome

These ones are actual plastic gift cards as opposed to a code printed on a receipt, so they're pretty useful as a gift to give people for birthdays or whatever.

I've just been putting the paper versions inside fancy cards. Frankly, most people care not if its a plastic card, especially when your gunna discard it once its been added to your account

Re: News - Dixons Retail first to offer Steam Wallet cards in the UK

I'm going to be honest, but I haven't seen many Dixons around the UK anymore (either that or they are all in England and left scotland...just like the awesome game shop called "Grainger Games" :| )

but It's good that non-game stores are stocking these wallet codes now bringing more sources for me to buy these codes

Gift cards are stupid in all honesty. They get lost or go unused and forgotten. Just give me cash.

True enough but I wouldn't bother getting upset over plastic cards existence. Steam credit is steam credit and I wouldn't complain if somebody got me one!

Aren't dixons part of the "Currys PC World" almagamation these days?
