I make €399 to be about £332 ... and that's before accounting for the fact most euroland countries have higher VAT than here. So all in they are gouging us by more than £50 over the euro price and nearly £90 over the dollar price.

    Thanks, but no thanks.

Hmmm. Wonder why a Moto G GPE exists? I thought the G was pretty close to vanilla and due regular updates. Sounds like just a marketing ploy to allow google to flog it on their play store?

Still expecting to get a G next month when my contract expires. Looks like a cracking phone for the money (£12.50 a month with 500Mb data for a 16gb model at Tesco). Not very impressed by the X though - Far too much money for the spec...
    Trust

The Euro price is probably excluding taxes as there is no uniform taxation rate in Europe.

    The UK price includes VAT.

Darn, I was excited for this but given converting the US price then accounting for VAT comes to about £290 the UK price is ridiculous!

    Thats what I said!

Moreover, tell me what the European tax rate is??? There is not one. Its set country to country and the way taxation is applied is different form country to country.

You do realise the US prices quoted in articles are without state taxes included, which vary from state to state??
