Except Iron Man 3, have seen all the rest. Agree with Suits as the only TV show I have watched from the list.

I agree it's not right torrenting, but torrenting is for those that cannot afford cinema tickets.
If it's of any consolation, I buy seasons of my favourite shows just to support a new season in the tiny way I can.
Don't agree with that - I'd guess that most of those that torrent films simply do so because it's easily available. They're often the ones with the fastest fibre connections, with several machines to stream to around the house/dedicated torrent clients etc.
It's not about affording, more to do with convenience and trying stuff they otherwise wouldn't - if they actually bought all of the content they downloaded it would probably cost a fortune though.

That's why it's named "mainstream"...it is popular with large group of people. If, for example a lot of people download what you may consider non-mainstream, it ceases to be that.
I must agree that Yify's movies have the best quality. They use H.264 HD and AC3 and the file sizes are always below 1GB.
Top music downloads are horrible, people should be ashamed of themselves listening to this ---- Maybe 2014 will be better.....probably not -_-
People torrent for many reasons
For me, it's a last line if i cannot get to the cinema to see it.
one of the issues is that my local cinema is 25 miles away, tickets are £8.50 plus the drink is £4. it's pretty damn expensive! and it's not even a nice cinema!
now that I'm no longer a student, time is scarce and my social group is generally busy so getting anything organised takes time and luck.
It's a shame really, I try to buy the DVD \ BlueRay as soon as i can afterwards because i believe that if you deserve my money, you'll get it.
Music, unless i literally cannot find it anywhere, i will not pirate it. and the chances of not finding the track i want is pretty minimal.
even then, I've recently switched over to Spotify and i love it.
Torrenting in the uk is claimed to be under direct pressure to shutdown yet so many loopholes exist, even if they close them other ways will open up. you only have to type in a torrent site in google to be given links to access these blocked sites. I dont think they will ever be able to out right block it completely. Many use torrent's for diffent reasons.. i myself use it for japanese anime.
Sadly 90% of the anime shown in japan will never reach eu shores.
Partly due to the market of demand isn't high enough in europe.
I do buy the blu-rays / dvds when i can get them, but those could take years before you get to own a physical disc. I dont speak japanese but many fansub groups release shows through torrent so that they care share things to a wider market than just asia and the usa. The anime industry works on demand. if a show is popular it will be sent world wide, like akira, naruto, bleach and so on. Part of that overseas demand was created by anime streaming sites which use torrents to supply them.
Torrents will always be a grey area.. its has its good points and bad.
