Ah, well, makes no difference to me - still won't be using it.
Open/libre office all the way - and WordPerfect 14 for the more demanding tasks.

Nor me. I'm not using cloud storage for my data, and that's that.
And, frankly, if I were to (after hell frezes over), neither MS nor Google would even be considered as options.
That said, watching them try to put a brave face on this after their petulant floor-stamping childishness over the court case does make me grin. Smugly.
The name change was down to BSkyB complaining that the name could mislead customers into thinking it was from them. It was on the BBC news website recently. money talks.
Yeah rememeber reading about BSkyB getting M$ to rebrand months ago and looks like they have finally decided on a name. Not a bad choice and doesn't really change anything.
The office apps rename just makes sense.

Sky/OneDrive - nah. Got Dropbox and that works well enough, (and has a Linux client - something that Sky/OneDrive doesn't)
And WordPerfect? There's a blast from the past! Like you it's LibreOffice for me, only reverting to MS Office when I get a particularly awful file, (or I need to use a spreadsheet - LibreCalc ain't that good).
Err I use sky drive, sorry One Drive, under Ubuntu...
I have ranted here before about dropbox, but I wouldn't go near them. Their security mistakes in the past have scared me too much.

Probably no less secure that Sky/One drive - but anything sensitive that I put on Dropbox is encrypted by me first.
Now at version 16 - and still knocks spots off Word.

I know you CAN use 1Drive under Ubuntu, but there's some effort involved. On the other hand Dropbox just works.
Don't think I've got anything on there unencrypted that I'd be worried about - unless my car insurance documents have some value to the nefarious? Actually, there IS something there that's "sensitive" but it's encrypted with AES256. Main stuff on Dropbox is backups of photo's and the odd purchased MP3 album.
I remember the old statement about the security of a file being inversely proportional to the cube of the number of folks who could access it. And with cloud storage you could be talking about 100's of company employees.
Or more succinctly ... if you use a public storage system, then your files are exactly that ... public!
"OneDrive for everything in your life,
OneDrive to find them,
OneDrive to bring them all
And in the darkness bind them."
Precious.
Classic, McEwin. Classic.
The problem for me, is they've had such terrible slipups with DropBox.
Slipups that the drive formally known as Sky and Google have not had.
Things like random people being served your files. Un-acceptable. The way they cache credentials is just bad design. The fact they disable ASLR in every process because they don't understand how to use the compiler. etc. DropBox are a firm so inept, so incompetent, I'd stay the hell away from them.

Not the most catchy name but it'll do.
A man must have code -Bunk
Hmmm OneNote, OneDrive ... Xbox One ... any others?
Still won't use it, totally disagree with how heavily it's been forced into Office 2013, if I wanted an online version of Office, I'd have bought Office 365.

This is bunny and friends. He is fed up waiting for everyone to help him out, and decided to help himself instead!
