Didn't know Lenovo did smartphones. But I'm assuming that the large figures for them and Huawei is mainly down to the Asian market.
Slightly surprised that HTC etc - the normal vendors we see here - didn't figure in the list.
With all the GCHQ and NSA spying/tracking, I decided to be mobile free as of two summers ago. Any calls I need to make I do from phone boxes. I've honestly had enough of not only the spying side of things but also being a sucker for the latest phones, my last phone (an HTC Desire) now sits gathering dust in the corner of my room which I've kept just in case any future work or jobs require me to have a mobile.
So.. eh... I guess i'm saying is i'm firmly not in that sales statistic.
Rant Over.
I feel bad for HTC not making it to the top 5. I thought they really did well designing their HTC One smartphone.
