Some Samsung Galaxy Ace piece of crap running 2.3 android full of bloatware. I despise it but I'm not willing to spend enough for a really good phone since they start knocking on laptop prices for my wants.

Yes, I make calls on it. On occasion.....
You make your calls on it. You send texts. You use it to synchronise your calendar. It holds your photos. Your music. Your games. It's with you on the bus. It's with you in bed. It keeps you company when you're on the loo. It's your sat nav. Your library. Your encyclopedia. It's for the colourful, it's a life companion, and nothing else comes close.
We all like to think we could live without it and 'switch off,' but let's face it, your smartphone has become an extension of your very being.
Texts? Nope. Synchronise calendar? Not if that means giving Google or an app-maker my personal data. Photo's? Like hell. That's why I have a decent camera. Or several. Music? Nope, MP3 player. SatNav? Nope, because it can give away location data, so I use a standalone SatNav. Games, on a phone screen? Not for me. No way. Not interested. Library? Hell, no. Encyclopaedia? Nope, Britannica on CD, and onkine access from PC.
Extension of my very being? Ho, ho, hah, hah, hah. Nope.
Could I live without it? Yes, easily. BUT, provided it's only on when it suits me, and a very select group have the number, then it's utility outweighs the nuisance factor. Just. But I could easily be tipped over into binning it altogether, if the nuisance factor were to increase much, and rarely would I miss it.
See, thing is, I don't want to be at the beck and call of the flipping thing all the time. I don't want to be contactable by phone other than by a select group, and by mobile phone by an even smaller group.
So what phone? Couldn't tell you without looking, other than to say it was £5 in Asda about 6 or 7 years ago, and by "advanced features" it means it hold a few dozen contacts in memory. About 8 are used. And typically, it gets turned on about once a month. Which is more than the wife uses hers.
Smartphone? Not until or unless I am confident it's not a drain to pour my personal information down, into the hands of corporate marketing departments. Until then, I just won't use one. Which, I rather expect, means never.
BlackBerry Curve 9320. I also have an iPod Touch for multimedia/gaming purposes.
Nokia 6120c.
Sony Xperia T
Love it, got it April last year and no issues whatsoever, waiting to see if they update the software on it is the only bad thing, it does what it is supposed to though.
Lately I have found the battery isn't holding its charge as well as it could even after turning off and charging overnight, unfortunately to get the battery replaced it would have to go into a repair center with it being a sealed unit, think I will let it run down completely and then turn off and charge overnight to see if it rectifies it.
Other than that its a great phone, nice size and does what I need it to whether in the house or out and about
Lumia 920. Awesome phone
Lg/Google Nexus 5. (Tasty KitKat goodness)
Much better than the Samsung S2 or S3 I had before.

Google Nexus 5. I love it

One advantage of my village-idiot(*) phone over a smartphone is that I charge it about once a month, whether it needs it or not .... and it often doesn't. Of course, that MIGHT be a function of whether it's actually been .... erm .... turned on that month, or not.
(*) Before anyone says it, the village-idiot refers to the phone, not it's owner.
Nokia 1020, got it for the camera, which now supports RAW DNG format.... Amazing camera phone.
Since hte last update the batterylife is now rather good too. Got 3 days out of it, with moderate whatsapp use and a few phone calls.

Samsung Galaxy 4.
I just LOVE the fact that not one person who answered this poll uses an Apple!!
Says a lot about the caliber of visitor to this site and their level of intelligence - certainly from a tech savy perspective!!
Samsung Galaxy S3. A nice step up from an S1.
Quite looking forward to Samsung releasing 4.4 on the device which should make it feel far more responsive, if the difference 4.4 made to my S1 (with a custom rom) is anything to go by.
I bet many of the people that have posted have had at least one iPhone in the past but the question was for current devices, I've had two iPhones, my first was awesome (3g) but when I went from that to the iPhone 4 I was seriously disappointed with it being just another iPhone, I felt Apple hadn't done enough to make the then new iPhone 4 feel like a newer phone than the previous iPhone 3g/3gs and so will most likely never return to iPhone or the nightmare iTunes (Windows killer) companion software.
The LG-P970 Optimus Black, it will have it's second "birthday" on April 17th, I chose it since it was the most well-rounded phone in it's time(Single Core 1 GHz, 512MB RAM, 5MP with Flash). Dual Core phones were still VERY rare and now I do regret not choosing one. Although I would still love everything else about my phone today(specially the super bright NOVA display), the processor is very outdated and obsolete(because TI has abandoned it). I could barely run any 3D game and CyanogenMod has ceased support for it. I could only bet that on my graduation this March, I could get a new one
Pardon the essay
LG Nexus 5 it is one of the best phones I used. I had an iPhone 4 before this so it was a step up
