I'd give it less than a day before carbon copies of this game are up on the ap store allowing other people to profit off of Nguyen's success. A real shame

I think some are already available on the AppStore.

There have been literally HUNDREDS of clones of the 1984 game Copter, why is this one so much more popular than the rest?

$50,000/day? WOW!
I would have endured it , even if it ruined my life!
Re: News - Viral hit-game 'Flappy Bird' removed from mobile app stores
Although I feel sorry for the developer, I'm constantly baffled by what people take for games these days. Every time I hear about another of these "mobile" (and usually "casual") games I die a little bit inside (and I'm pretty sure a baby seal is clubbed to death somewhere as well ;)).

What a poor way for it be ruining his life...
Re: News - Viral hit-game 'Flappy Bird' removed from mobile app stores
Hmm, if I ever write a game/game company I'll set up a separate professional twitter account for it, and be anonymous behind the scenes. Some people are just knobs when it comes to online stuff, even if it's free.

I link it to the untapped female market!

Re: News - Viral hit-game 'Flappy Bird' removed from mobile app stores
i still cannot buy his reason, i believe someone paid him lots of money to take it down so he can upload his clone. his reason is too dumb and doesnt make any sense, what media and attention he is talking about, didnt he want money and attention when he created this game?! so after getting both he is not happy, this is bull**** and 10 years old kid can tell that is not the real reason.

$50,000 per day? I'd hire a body guard and endure it.
Re: News - Viral hit-game 'Flappy Bird' removed from mobile app stores
he was getting a LOT of abuse on facebook and twitter. The average idiot who would get infuriated at the game and rage, or would break their phone and blame him. It got to the point where it wasnt worth taking that level of abuse. And lets be honest, if you've had a smash hit for a few months at $50k a day, might as well retire!

It might not be possible for him to "endure it" if he is in severe depression. It can't be considered enduring if you are thinking about death the entire time.
