My picks after going through what I've got installed:
Plume Twitter reader, far far better than the clunky official app.
Chrome, mainly for the super useful syncing
Google Keep, for notes and lists
    BaconReader for reddit
Authenticator for 2 factor security...which your using right?
ES File Explorer, for when you need to get into the dirty parts of android.
Field Trip, if your out an about, this can provide some nice little tidbits
Goggles, just because its freaky how much it will recognise.

If your a student of electronics (or maybe even physics) or you just like playing around with circuits all day, the ElectroDroid app comes highly recommended by me! Never let me down

Swiftkey is well worth it if you can get it on a sale.
    Evernote I find pretty useful.
Citymapper is great if you live in Londonium.
Soundhound, great if you hear a tune and you want to know what it is.

Alpinequest great for topo maps, lots of free maps and works with OS maps if you have them.

Appy Geek - nice tech news collator
Pulse - the same above really
Libra - awesome if weight tracking
Heat rate - keep an eye on that ticker
National Rail - because it's probably cancelled again
Plex - only any use if you have a Plex media server, but awesome if you do.
BT Wifi - If you have Infinity (or any BT broadband) this will auto connect you to hotspots without doing anything. There are *loads*.
Airdroid - access your device on the LAN. Download files, upload stuff and so on...awesome interface too.
Ebay app - much better these days
ES File Explorer - if you like to play with the filesystem
Giffgaff app - if you're with them it'll do credit and such
    SkyScanner - if you fly
    Teamviewer - remote desktop client
    TED - because you're smart!
    VLC - because it's VLC
Voucher Cloud - useful for eating out, always check before ordering. Have saved loads with it.

Re: Features - QOTW: Which apps should every Android user have?

    I like the following apps:
    Google Keep
    Google Authenticator
    Evernote
    Lastpass
    RealCalc
    VLC
    Pulse
    Battery Doctor

And if you have a Motorola phone Assist is awesome, can automatically send selected contacts a text when you are busy and has the ability to enable a speific profile when busy as well so no need to remember to put your phone on silent for meetings; it recognises you as busy by linking with your calendar, works perfectly with google calendar.

My pick of the list is Battery Doctor because it has settings to automatically close all apps when the phone locks which is giving me 3-5 days use out of my Moto G. It turns wifi off when signal is low so there is no need to always turn it on and off when you leave home because it does it automatically. It also has the option to schedule times for different profiles to be on so you can have the phone on silent when you sleep to prevent people from disturbing you and go on vibrate for the work day. I tend to only put my phone to sleep in the evening and use Moto Assist to automatically turn the phone on silent for when I have something scheduled in my calendar.
