Due my phone upgrade at the end of this month.
May well stick with My HTC One X and see what happens here in the coming months
Oh and a removable remote camera module would be good.
a glowing bar module so it can match all of my overpriced sony stuffs :3
Actually on a more serious note, maybe a secondary screen, with people having some strange obsession of taking selfies all the time with low quality front facing cameras, instead of blowing the budget putting a small high definition camera in the front of the phone put a standard definition screen in the back of the phone that offers minimal functionality but is located where a bigger/better camera may be located. I'd be willing to bet that would be quite a popular option with students etc...
If I had one of these phones, I'd have a fear of catching a module on a surface, knocking it off and losing it.
I've been following this since the original Phonebloks and I'm glad its picking up under Google. Looking forward to what comes on it.

Thought the perm magnet tech thingy (uber technical here) means that the pieces are pretty much 100% stuck while there is power running... that would include the battery module so technically nothing should fall off unless your phone was off/out of juice when you dropped it.

An RJ45 port would be great
Google says most innovative, read most consumer desirable. I vote a twitter/instagram/facebook module with beats audio designed by BMW.

I've never seen a smartphone with an IR module to mimic the function of a universal remote.
A shock module - gives the user powerful, painful electric shocks when using the phone to record video in portrait view. (Also has the added advantage of running the battery down quicker so the user has less talk time/video recording etc)
