It's not a re-release of a current product. It's a new processor in the Haswell line up. Wooshing noises are because it's a hefty increase in speed and addresses a complaint people made - meeting user-demand is often a good thing
Well if they are just charging the difference, while costing them more in terms of manufacture that's an incredibly good deal for us consumers. As for righting a wrong, Intel are the ones with the successful business and market share so it's unlikely they actually made the wrong call. There's no requirement for Intel to provide everything we can dream of having at a price of our choosing.Whilst it will be nice further down the product stack for the small bumps in Mhz I fear Intel may just charge the difference. At the other end with the K products they are just righting a wrong they did to everyone, which may bay be commendable if it was for how long this fix has been coming.
So don't listen to them - buy based on resultsI think I've just become very pessimistic about ANY company advertisement![]()
