Nothing new really can already buy drives of this size /speed etc cheaper elseware so don't really see the point
£96.29 on scan for the 256gb drive..... would spend a little extra for a lot more performance
I think it's time to upgrade my OCZ Agility 3 boot drive ( I know! Taking my life into my own hands ) to something a little more 2014! It has served me well though, and it still remains relatively nippy compared to all my friends hard drive powered machines.
Some people, me included, feel certain brands have an air of quality about them. Especially corsair in my books as not a single item I have bought from them has died to date! Also for that price glad to see theres still a three year warrantyQuote:

Either your price estimates are wrong, or the two people publically listing these (Scan and OCUK) are way overcharging for them :(
Bagpuss, surely given their near non-existent heat, you could easily colour code them by wrapping them in the fablon colour of your choice. Costs like £1 a roll :)Quote:

They're cheaper (at least in Germany), faster (not by much), readily available and use a Marvell 88SS9175 Controller, which is very similar to the Marvell 88SS9174 used in the good old Crucial M4.
Not to mention I'd trust a Marvell controller based SSD much more than any of the cheap cr*p like SMI/Silicon Motion, JMicron, Sandforce, Phison and Indilinx (is Indilinx even still around..? or dead like OCZ finally?)
Yep, i agree, the Sandisk Ultra plus ssd is pretty good and I have it installed on another system and it is much cheaper than the other brands.
