2014..the year of the remakes and sequels.
It is just me that is kind of surprised/disappointed by the lack of innovation/new franchises this year? It seems like all the big developers/publishers are pushing out the same franchises, with the indies being the only ones pushing ahead.
Not to say I am not looking forward to some of them - Elite and Tomb Raider are up there for me, but still, a lot of "safe bets" this year!
Maybe the new new tomb raider (although I still need to complete the first of the reboots)? Other than that I'm not really that interested. New fatherhood might be getting to me... And I have a large back catalog to complete on my new PS3...
GTA V on PC might be worth a punt.
Far Cry 4 definitely looks worthwhile.
Assassin's Creed Unity also will probably figure on my "buy" list.
Only downside is that I'll have to figure out how to get those Steam backups working properly (they keep freezing at 99% complete) since I've got a distinct lack of space on the apps drive at the moment.
Think this might be the first year though that I don't rush out to buy the year's CoD remake - I was pretty disappointed by Ghosts, feeling that BF4 was country mile better.
I also punted some dosh for Superhot's Kickstarter, so I get to look forward to beta access next February.
Career status: still enjoying my new career in DevOps, but it's keeping me busy...

Im looking forward to battlefield hardline , unfortunately I missed the Beta but I have watched the trailers and other gameplay stuff and it looks brilliant. Personally ive always liked payday and payday 2 so battlefield hardline looks like payday and battlefield all rolled into one and I cant wait!
