Re: News - EA delays major titles Battlefield: Hardline, Dragon Age: Inquisition
I always wonder what the real reason is when a company delay's a product.
They say to 'polish' but really, it should have been all factored in so someone has messed up and fell of the timeline somewhere...
Name and shame them!!
(For the clearance of doubt, I'm not interested in either game)

Seems like they might have learnt a lesson about pushing crap out the door unfinished. While their profits are up due to next gen console releases, there has been a huge backlash from people recently over unfinished/broken products.
I bet a nice portion of that profit is DLC as well.

"It was a strong start to the year for Electronic Arts. We are committed to putting our players first..."
I just spat out my coffee all over my desk. That's the biggest pile of horsedroppings I've read today!

Re: News - EA delays major titles Battlefield: Hardline, Dragon Age: Inquisition
I can't see how Hardline can be incomplete when it's basically just a mod for BF4 (for the bargain price of £50.00, of course lol). What planet are they on?
On the subject of BF4, they STILL haven't fixed the bug that stops players from joining their friends on servers due to some port issue. Yet, if your mate leaves, you join the same server and suddenly it works, so nothing to do with a port forwarding at all. Cocks. Complete waste of money.

Re: News - EA delays major titles Battlefield: Hardline, Dragon Age: Inquisition
Hardline was delayed because it's crap. Played the beta for 30mins and gave up.
Have pretty much given up on Battlefield 4 now too, I had really hoped that BF4 would bring back the feel/playability of BF2 after the change with BF3.

Re: News - EA delays major titles Battlefield: Hardline, Dragon Age: Inquisition
Lol EA, reason for it being push back is because COD will slaughter it in sales, the game is not good enough to compete. It's just a BF4 mod at full retail price, big flop a envisage.

Re: News - EA delays major titles Battlefield: Hardline, Dragon Age: Inquisition
Problem is, the COD phenomenon works, keep pumping out the same toilet bowl tosh then no one knows any better. EA must be going down that route starting with BF4 by making it saddeningly awful then keeping it circling the toilet bowl so the next generation will be like:
"WOW, 5 EXTRA GUNS AND A NEW MAP FOR £50? THAT'S FREAKING AMAZING!"

That's a bit like holding a dead salmon in one hand and dead cod in the other and arguing which is the most deadly weapon.
Yeah you could hit someone with them, but really, they are both s**t for what you are asking them to do.

Re: News - EA delays major titles Battlefield: Hardline, Dragon Age: Inquisition
Well, delays are ok as long as they actually polish, or fix the game as they say. Releasing an unfisnished POS is not ok. Hope they are learning their lesson.

Re: News - EA delays major titles Battlefield: Hardline, Dragon Age: Inquisition
No! Not Dragon Age! That's the only game from EA I was actually looking forward to!

Re: News - EA delays major titles Battlefield: Hardline, Dragon Age: Inquisition
I can imagine some delays will be to fit into a release window with less competition, its not the only industry which does this.

Re: News - EA delays major titles Battlefield: Hardline, Dragon Age: Inquisition
I still can't complete the BF4 single player campaign - get a save error on the PS4 at the same spot every single time, even after deleting the game data. Masses of other bugs mentioned in hundreds of threads across the net ... Hardline is defo not on my shopping list

Re: News - EA delays major titles Battlefield: Hardline, Dragon Age: Inquisition
I have allready bought BF Hardline for 31 euros, ill wait another month for it i guess,i can't imagine playing both bf4 and hardline each for 4 hours a week.
Maybe they want to synchronize the release with the 390 series from AMD.Me personally did not buy crossfire because only 60hz at fullHD.

They use quite complex stats to try and factor in these things, but as with all things bayes, it's just a good guess, and software development this big is such a complex thing that you just can't predict where on the features/time/cost curve you will end up.

Re: News - EA delays major titles Battlefield: Hardline, Dragon Age: Inquisition
I was hoping the delay with Hardline was so that they could finish BF4 first. I still get memory leaks when I try and play BF4 on my PC.
