Sure, now you will be able to receive adverts mid stream, pop up boxes and "paid" reccommendations / promotions. All for FREE! wow.

Personally I feel this is the end of Twitch.

You can only watch live if the network offers a live stream. None of them do at this time. You can watch shows after they air on sites , ot you can buy a TV tuner for your PC.
