Yes it does, it's not very helpful for me though. I'm stuck at trying to decide what's most important to me with a new monitor and then this throws a spanner into the works.

My current predicament is I can't decide what matters more between resolution and refresh rates. My choices were a 28" 4k screen at 60hz or a 27" 2560x1440 screen at 144hz and now this comes in to the mix as well. I guess I might have to go to the Gadget show and see if there are any on display there, but that's not till April, if only there were somewhere I could go to see these things for myself.

I'm going to need a bigger desk
What does it matter now if men believe or no?
What is to come will come. And soon you too will stand aside,
To murmur in pity that my words were true

Currently at 2560x1440 60Hz, so I don't think I'd go for a super-wide monitor unless it came with increased vertical resolution. I wonder what the price tag is gonna be

Surely that comes down to what you want to use it for. If you're gaming, the 144Hz 27", if you're photo editing, the 28" 4k.

The only 144hz 27" 2560x1440 screen I know of is the Asus ROG that goes for about £700 and is TN, which is a bit of a downgrade from IPS. At least the 28" TN 4k screen is more reasonably priced even if it's only 60hz; still wouldn't want to use if for photo or video purposes though.

I would love one of these monitors but I'm not buying a new monitor until I know it has Freesync and/or G-sync support.

Yeah, I think I would be doing some (not much) photo/video editing, mostly gaming, office and browsing though.

I had to leave my options open, but the Swift is still on my shortlist, but I have to say that having an ultra wide screen does appeal to me too as then I would be able to see more of the battlefield/gameplay area.

    Just the same for me.
As for now this would be my preferable buy, but prize is another factor. If they only could increase the refresh rate slightly...
