Nice, hopefully they haven't broken 24Hz playback with this chip after fixing it in haswell.....might make a nice HTPC chip, depending on how the price compares to Kabini, although I can probably guess it will not be price competitive.
I'll wait for the desktop and workstation level components before I think about these chips.
But assuming these chips scale up to desktop / ws level components quite well we might see a 65W desktop chip with 4 cores running with max base of 4GHz and single thread turbo of 5GHz, better yet a 130W WS chip with 8 cores running 3.6GHz base and 4.2GHz turbo.
And here we have the chip that likely SHOULD have gone in the surface 3 pro.... there'd have been no issue with heat etc with this.
If they plonk this into the Surface Pro 3 I'll buy it tomorrow
My guess would be that (on a large scale) Core M will first appear in the Macbook Air.
Hmm, I might be getting a Surafce Pro 4 next year with broadwell then.. I'll stick with my Windows 7 laptop for the moment.
