Doesn't this work out as cheaper than a large percentage of the 290x's x2?
Goes to show how much of an mark up is on AMD and Nvidia GPUs. As you can see if they don't sell they will drop in price.
Still It's £700 for a GPU, obscene.
And an XFX one to boot... :-(
I would ordinarily agree with that assessment of XFX, but in this case, I think all the 295X2 cards are manufactured in the same facility. Each vendor just slaps their own branding on the cards (NVidia do much the same thing with most of their Titan range, I believe).
After my 290x being a pile of crap due to cards memory BSODing my pc in games, AMD can keep their crapping cards!
Might be something else mate, how did you tracked it down to memory? When one of my NVidia video card memory died I used to get artefacts not bsod's, but yeah, just send it back?
I did after extensive tests on other bits of my PC, they claimed no issue and wouldn't replace it only send it back or refund it minus £50 for the use of the crappy AMD games bundle (How the heck am I to know the card is a dud) Anyway it was the memory as the only way to get it semi stable was to undervolt and underclock the card. I refuse to pay top pound for a pile of cack out the box.
I'm now running a Inno3D GTX 780 iChill HerculeZ X3 Ultra DHS Edition 3GB with the same hardware with NO issues, check the net there is a crap ton of people with the same issue that I had when the card launched. Even the x2 is having issues. These cards are far to expensive in my view to be having issues like these out the box.
No wonder a lot of people wont buy PC and stay console gamers :/
Should be well prepared for 4k after this :)
At that price I'm tempted to grab one of these instead of a 780 Ti Classified. Still got a few weeks to decide
