Is it just me or does this read exactly like a PR piece from Samsung?
Not that I've got against Samsung, since 3/5 of the systems in the house using Samsung SSD's exclusively - 830 and 840EVO's - and very good drives they've proved to be.

As you note, they have added a disclaimer, but I still think it reflects badly on Hexus writers that these articles are listed as features/news rather than something more clear like 'sponsors article'. Same as with the posts from paids reps on the forums. You have to do some checking (albeit minor) to realise that it's not a genuine post or news article, which particularly on the news article front, makes it look like Hexus doesn't know what it's talking about, which will ultimately be harmful for a site like this IMHO.Quote:

No problems with it myself seeing as there is the disclaimer - it means we can put anything in it in context rather than take it as opinion.
Impressive 3D V-NAND technology. I'm planning to upgrade my 256 GB 830 SSD to 850, but 512GB is still too expensive.
