I couldn't work with that off centre stand. The thought of it make me twitch.

I don't understand why these premium monitors never seem to come with VESA mounts anymore...

That off set sucks, so does that round stand! Give me good old straight lines and edges just like a monitor has on its bezel less (cough) upper section.

Do these companies think we are stupid or something?

Love the visually appealing offset stands ... but only if they do a leftie and a rightie so that I can make a symmetrical pair.

This is what happens when Acer try and make something look premium.

Re: News - Acer announces a pair of 'frameless' monitors for Q4 2014

Am I missing something or are they are touting a "frameless" design then sticking a thick border along the bottom of the screen?

I also agree about the offset stand... yuck!

I like the look. Although I do agree, it's not frameless, borderless.

These are frameless monitors, but this is fiction...

I think the monitor companies don't understand what's being 'wanted' - just to clarify:-

PEOPLE WANT THE PICTURE TO SPAN RIGHT TO THE EDGES WITH NO BEZEL OR BLACK EDGING.

Why do the manufacturers always change the stands when they release a model with different sizes, I want an eyefinity setup with a larger middle screen and two smaller on the sides, but I cant find a matched set with the same stand!

No VESA, no interest. I want to fill an Obutto R3volution triple monitor mount.

The off-center stand would drive me crazy too.

Re: News - Acer announces a pair of 'frameless' monitors for Q4 2014

I'd find the off centre stand useful as I often put stuff under the monitor, just pieces of paper or CD's or something like that. Probably good space for my phone too.
It'd be good if it had a USB charging port also.

Did you just use the word ergonomic for a monitor with no height adjustment and no VESA mount?
