Smartphone standing upright, no WP app, 180 €, the more info I get to hear about this keyboard, the less I am tempted.

I don't know that I'll be spending that much, but I've been waiting for an RGB G710+ for ages. If I had enough money to blow £150+ on a keyboard and not notice, I would absolutely love this.

Mechanical + RGB customisable lighting + Logitech quality and support = me happy

Personally I think this looks hideous, especially the keycaps.

Re: News - Logitech G910 Orion Spark mechanical gaming keyboard

The G710+ wasn't enough to stop me buying the Corsair K70. I've also gotten the Corsair M65 to replace my broken G500.

Logitech is normally my go to brand for mice, keyboard and speaker recommendations due to their quality and support but I've gone with Corsair due to their impressive designs. I got the Corsair mouse because Logitech, which I know and love, have designs that aren't what I generally like, I'm a function over form person but at some point the design puts me off and Logitech managed to reach that point with their new designs; if I was going to get something wasn't visually appealing to me then I thought that I may as well try out the cheaper alternative in the Corsair M65.

I might of bought this keyboard if it was out sooner, but I think I would still have preferred the Corsair K70 due to the appealing design (simple and functional makes things so much easier, like cleaning). I think Logitech are trying too hard and as a result they have lost me as a long time customer (MX518, G5, G500) due to their weird looking designs and features that I am not bothered with.

Re: News - Logitech G910 Orion Spark mechanical gaming keyboard

Rumour is these are Omron switches. One of the biggest differences from the Cherry MX switch is the backlight LED is in the centre of the switch in the middle of the (transparent) stem, whilst it's at the top of the switch above an (opaque, coloured) stem on Cherry switches. Hence the keycaps are printed in the centre, whilst on most mechanical keyboards the keycaps are printed at the top, to line up with the LED.

Note that this keyboard cannot use any off-the-shelf Cherry MX replacement keycaps (most Cherry-based keyboards you can swap out the keycaps, other than the non-square keys whose layout is variable)

What Noxvayl said: the Corsair K70 looks simpler, prettier and does everything I need (well, extra USB ports wouldn't go amiss). Still rocking an original Logitech G9 mouse though...

I'm still on an original G15 keyboard, lol. Still going strong after 7 years.

+1 - Hate the look of the new Corsair K70 RGB keyboard. The orignal K70 is so much nicer. If I spend £100 + on a keyboard I want quality , not gimmick crap like multi changing lights.

Love my G15.2 keyboard, wish they made a mechanical version of it.

Re: News - Logitech G910 Orion Spark mechanical gaming keyboard

interesting features, horrible looking key caps - I touch type, too expensive for a keyboard.

Will be looking at replacing my Logitech G15 sometime soon i suspect as it is getting a bit long in the tooth and a defective ESC key doesn't help matters much (though easily sorted with remapping another key to ESC thankfully!). Will see what funds look like in 6 months time after I've paid a few things off and then look to upgrade to an i7 from my aging C2D.

You don't need to have something with RGB capability set to look like a gay pride parade... but it needs that ability to be able to look neat. Let's take the K70 as a case in point - the standard black model uses red backlights throughout (but has white numlock/capslock/scrollock LEDs). The K70 RGB lets you pick an all-over colour that isn't red, let's say... green, to match your NZXT Black/Green NVIDIA Edition. And you could use... white, for ASWD only.

I have a Roccat Kone XTD mouse. It's expensive because it has RGB lighting capabillity. Mine is set... to red, for my red/black colour scheme. But if I was on black/blue, this would still be the right mouse. If I was on black/green, this would still be the right mouse.

The K70 RGB is clearly still a K70, which has incredible build quality. They just swapped out the switches. I don't see that as a crime.

Re: News - Logitech G910 Orion Spark mechanical gaming keyboard

This looks solid and good, but the price is a "little" to high.

I am not sure if it is worth for me to buy.

Currently i got g15 and its damn good keyboard. The keyboard screen is very useful after "few" hours of development (non of default apps doing anything good for me). I am using this small simple text area to display computer stats like temps, fan speed load and clock.

The g910 design is weird (standing smartphone at the center? cmon...). The tablet placed somewhere near is however very tempting, but why i need a keyboard for that anyway?

I would be happy to see test of how much better the mechanical gaming keyboards are form old, top non-mechanical gaming keyboards.

The worst is that Logitech keyboards price is not going down as time go by... and i really like this one.
