Shows just how little power the writers have in Hollywood.

It had a story? I must've been asleep at the desk.

For this movie to work.... every monster must say "GERRRRRR OOOOFFFF" the moment it sees doom marine and then walk/run/float towards him.

In 50% of rooms the lights should go out the moment he goes in and relase lots of said monsters.

Yay someone finally gets it, just a shame hollywood doesn't understand. Biggest problem at the moment is that hollywood is short of ideas, and their looking at the games industry, which is still expanding, with jealous eyes.

M'well, I found Resident Evil to be entertaining enough.
A movie doesn't need to be Oscar material to be entertaining IMO.

(Thats not to say all I like every game to movie conversions)

Was anyone really expecting a Doom movie to be decent anyway? Christ, It's got The Rock in it. The most pathetic, wooden and boring actor this century.

He's the best replacement there is for Arnie right now and ive liked the films he's been in. He certainly isn’t pathetic nor is he boring to watch on screen.

Fair enough, if he floats yer boat, I guess its just a mater of opinion. Personally i like actors with a bit of class, who can play more than one character. It's not my kind of film, but i guess he is the right person for the job.
