Wonders of starstorm is included with awesomenauts. My 6 yr old is dead set on getting it. I told him I'm not buying it so he's saving up for it!

After trying out payday 2 on xbox I really don't see the appeal. The game was sluggish, unresponsive and too slow paced. Anyone care to explain what the see in it?

Downloading GRID 2 to give it a try. I'm definitely interested, although the list of DLC is crazy.

The appeal is in the co-op play, playing with a few people makes this such an enjoyable game when the group play as a team, alternatively it can get frustrating when they don't. You need to try completing a few levels with friends to really see the game in all its glory.

I did try that on xbox but as above, found it to be too slow paced and not polished - I have heard, however, that the console version isn't very good. Is this true?

Actually you can get XCOM: Enemy Unknown entirely free.

Vote on the golden joystick awards and claim a steam copy after: https://goldenjoysticks.greenmangaming.com/

Nice tip Mama Sumae, thankyou. It is a limited stock of keys they have though so anyone interested should go vote now. I just did it and got a key so there are some left at the time of writing.

Re: News - Steam Free Weekend gives you 10 games to play from today

Stange how I think of the games I have purchased through steam as my games stored in my library. This line of thinking is however completely wrong (see terms and conditions) and so it has come to pass that I am now prepared to wait almost an eternity for a game to get released on GOG. Why not promote stuff like '10 free games this weekend' on say the front page of the store and then people can opt-in as they see fit.

This is no different to the U2 album controversy only I don't have iTunes to be fully appreciating a random unwanted album.

Well, I tried GRID 2, for all of 20 minutes. The physics felt atrocious, and it still has the Logitech keyboard bug that plagued Dirt 3 / Showdown.

Glad I didn't pay for it.

It's times like these that stop me feeling bad for torrenting games first. I have lost absolute faith in game developers these days and cannot afford to buy a game to find out its rubbish. Ryse was worth 15 pounds at most. The combat system was awful, the story was short (albeit good, in my opinion) and doesn't run well at all. I struggled to get above 30 fps at around 1080p and less than medium settings (at least I think - really confusing graphics alteration) .
