That price is a little disappointing. To be honest its fair for the specs but the N5 was such a bargain with similar high end specs for the time it was released. Will probably skip this and wait/hope for a new N5???
The low price for equivalent spec made the previous Nexus phones a no-brainer. This puts it at a similar price bracket to an iPhone/Galaxy etc. As such, it is a contender but not a sure thing. The big put-off for me personally is that I want a phone that fits in my pocket, not something that would need its own bag/case to carry around all the time (wear more combats?). As such, I'm not even considering this phone, though I can see e.g. business users appreciating the extra screen real estate and the fact that it can replace both a tablet and a phone, reducing the number of devices they'd need.

Disappointingly expensive for me. Was looking to upgrade my Note 2, now not so sure. Size - probably doable, although I don't feel the need to go bigger than my 5.5" device.
As most people already stated I'm a bit taken aback by the price... Goodbye affordable high end nexus phones, It was nice having you :(
First thoughts - too big, too expensive. If I want something with a larger screen you have 7-8 inch slates.
My view is that 5 inch max, maybe 5.5 at a push, for a phone, then you may as well just grab a slate.
The Nexus 5 is still available and it's still a device towards the top of the market. OK, the camera is only good and the battery isn't huge, but it appears it's not going anywhere anytime soon. It is being sold with Lollipop now (or imminently) and I wouldn't bet against a N5 refresh (or whole new N5) next year, as they did with the N7.
I'm pretty disappointed with this. Too big and too expensive.
Whelp, looks like i'm not able to fund my next upgrade to the next Nexus. I would say that for me with reasonably large hands, 5.9 may be a little too much, hell it's just over an inch short of the N7!
If you do conversion it is around £400.
Which is reasonable given:
Lumia 1520: £550
Note 4: £650
Iphone6+: £700
Wow. I think the Moto X2 (on which it is based on entirely) would be my choice now. Bye Nexus :(
Urgh far too big and too expensive. Really don\'t get the whole appeal of "phablets" that are too big for your pocket, too big to comfortably use one handed, but still too small to be used as a tablet.
Oh well, my nexus 5 is starting to fall to bits and I do need a new phone shortly, but guess it won\'t be a Nexus this year..have not done much research into what is coming out as I was banking on Google, but guess i\'ll have to start looking into HTC\'s newer offerings!
i\'ve had the nexus 4 and now the nexus 5 also the new nexus 7 and tbh i\'m really pleased with all of them, the main factor in nexus handsets was the low price of highend tech this has seemed to be overridden which i knew it would when they changed the vendor from lg. i for one will be sticking with my nexus 5 and 7, the nexus 6 is just far too big and far too expensive for me to change..i think google has made a big mistake going in this direction.i\'m thinking the price will be £649 as they seem to ignore the exchange rate these days.
I currently have the nexus 5 and i feel a 5inch screen is just about right. 6inch screen seems stupid in a phone IMHO. The price os the nexus 5 and the pure android is what prompted me to get a nexus 5. the nexus 6 doesnt interest me in the slightest. the specs are not much better and what are you using a phone for to warrant 3gb ram? plenty of people have older desktops with less ram than that.
