I'm more interested in getting a VR headset
Nope
Lol no.
I think my next monitor will be 1440 however I don't really like the TN panels so I'll wait until IPS or better TN's.
4k will need sli and I would want 120hz or over, so maybe in a few years.
agree with shaithis - rather run two 1080p screens side by side, and play games on one of them at a decent frame rate...
Nope.
2560x1600 works just great for me.
No chance. I cannot see myself wanting or needing more than 1080p for many years. Increasing resolution further is unnecessary imo; I would much rather have cheaper, good quality screens and faster g2g. Give me a 24" OLED display over a 30" TN 4K any day.
On a related note, the same goes for TVs - I don't care about 3D, I don't care about 'curved' 4K screens at 56" or 72" - I want an affordable 42" 2D 1080p OLED screen.
Nope - Will be going to 30 inch 2560 x 1600 eventually though. Better aspect ratio for web browsing.
No.
Until the is an affordable single graphics card capable of running games at max settings at 4k its not worth it imo.
I'm mainly using windows running an APU so it's not for me. Let's see what Windows 9 brings
I'll get a 4K when a single GPU can power all games at max. settings 4K 95fps.
And 21:9 ratio 3440 x 1440 is better than 4K's 16:9.
Not any time in the foreseeable future. It's simply too much money for me. It's going to take a single card that's under £400 before I would even consider it. I am quite happy with my 1920x1200 HannsG for the time being.
Definitely not.
