This is a massive addition for me, very tempted to get 365 now
which is funny, because if you've got 365, why on earth would you want dropbox?
throw new ArgumentException (String, String, Exception)
to access office documents on work computers which do not have Office 365 installed on them
Yeah seems a strange one to me too although it clearly is a usage scenario for some people.
I've got a dropbox and box account (50gb free with hp touchpad) which I never use, a google drive I rarely use and a onedrive that I use the most, but even that is not that often. I'm just not sure I want to send files via the cloud due to privacy concerns.
Nice idea but will you still get the same amount of storage that you currently do with Office 365. I signed up and got 1tb. Its costs less than the 1tb package dropbox offers and obviously I get the full office suite too.
awesome! This was quite unexpected!
So you accept my point that the web interface for OneDrive is better, far far better for handling Office documents in a browser. Given that OneDrive has more space for files, has sync tools for all platforms.... Can't see why anyone would choose dropbox on functionality.
Throw in their security record, why would anyone use DropBox at all. Still can't see it.
throw new ArgumentException (String, String, Exception)
Suspect argument at MS went something like 'all the cool kids who do BYOD hip stuff are using Dropbox - we got to join them'. End of. Rationality isn't a major feature of the ipad era.
Find OneDrive hopelessly unreliable and has been that way over the last 15 months of use, very frustrating and constant crashes or failed sync's due to one problem or another. Dropbox is great but cant really be used for lots of business due to their policies of hosting files and accessing them on request... I wonder if Microsoft will fix this in the process...
