    If you have code that depends on the version number, we advise that you update to allow for the new value.
    If you have code that depends on a verison number, you're already part of the problem.

    apparently a 'depreciated version API' will report that Windows 10 is version 6.3
    Then can I trust that Windows 10 will also be honest and report itself as version 8.2? ;o)

    Version numbers mean hardly anything these days and I blame chrome for that. full numbers used to mean big change and .1 meant small change.
