ASUS and Galax retail listings plus MSI product and box shots offer quite a bit of information.

NDA lifting on the 15th? NV wouldn't miss the launch coinciding with reviews. I assume HEXUS has a review ready.

If NVidia follow form, there'll probably be a 'Ti' version in the works, which will probably have a 256 bit bus and 4Gb of VRAM...

There are three SKUs being launched (supposedly) - the GTX960,GTX960TI and the GTX965TI.

Re: First pictures of Nvidia GTX 960 cards, GM206 GPUs appear

This will probably be my next graphics card as the 8 pin power requirements are perfect and I've heard that the cooler is really quiet.

AFAIK there wasn't a GTX 760 Ti so hard to say if there'll be a GTX 960 Ti.

Can't wait to check out the reviews for the GTX960. I hope it'll perform a decent amount better than the GTX760 as those have been around £130 recently and this will probably be around £180-200 which would make it pretty bad value for money. But then again, I purchased a GTX750 Ti and that certainly wasn't good VFM.

I'd imagine that any cooler you see on a GTX970 you'll see on a GTX960 eventually, and since the 960 will produce less heat they should be quieter. But since the 970 is relatively cool chip you can imagine the 960 would just be a lesser version of that. Of course AIB partners will do there thing. Asus, MSI and the gang will fix everyone up with there own magic.

    Not according to videocardz

GeForce GTX 960 for instance, is said to arrive in multiple variants. Unfortunately the rumors about different GPU configuration are most likely not true. The only variants we expect to see will differ in memory sizes. The reference model will ship with 2GB GDDR5 memory across 128-bit interface, but cards with 4GB frame buffer are also expected shortly after the launch.
Maybe Nvidia are hoping there color optimizations will offset the lack of bandwitdth.

Re: First pictures of Nvidia GTX 960 cards, GM206 GPUs appear

3DMark scores for factory overclocked GTX960 are leaked:

    http://videocardz.com/54263/nvidia-g...ormance-leaked

    Seems close to a R9 280 or R9 285 or slightly faster than a GTX760.

So basically the same performance we had for the last year in the £150 segment but with lower power consumption. But expect the latter to be heralded as the second coming of some prophet.

Confirmed to use a 128 bit memory controller. At least there are 32 ROPs.

Don't worry a number of review sites will do their best!

Re: First pictures of Nvidia GTX 960 cards, GM206 GPUs appear

I assume this card if for entry level and/or low mid-range PCs. If so, it/they would be a good choice IF the street price settles around $170 USD. I'm certainly interested in the GM206 series, not buy but to satisfy my curiosity.

Especially if they follow the 'party' line from nvidia.
