Something like this would of been great when I was traveling the world for an easy and cheap way to keep in basic contact with people.
While I personally have no use for it at the moment I like that it will exist and it is an option if I was planning to do another long trip again.
This is why WhatsApp sold for $8bn eh?
Wow!! That is smthing which lead mordern communication in better way. Maybe smbody should try combining fb twitr n wapp together.
Blackberry Mk2?
Looks really good if you're touring a few countries but WhatsApp only does make it limited. Unbeatable for the price though!
I'd be interested to know how much the credits are.
It sounds very good on paper but I tend to share quite a bit of media on whatsapp - videos, screenshots, audio clips etc.
All of which require extra credits
Yeah it would be a shame if the boosters were very expensive.
But even for the 10 Euro (what? £8?) if you and a few mates were going on holiday for a week or 2, each spend the £8 for one of these just to send messages and location information is very cool... nevermind traveling the world or anything long term!
(and then pickup pictures and media when you hit a wifi spot).
Media limited, but text unlimited? How long until someone implements a TCP/Whatsapp tunnel?
I love Whatsapp and traveling through different countries this makes communication affordable and convenient.
Now this is Awesome
Great idea, would have loved this travelling round the world.
