Why do we need 5.25" Drive Bays in this day and age!

Water cooling reservoirs, for one. You need a couple of bays for those and the internal cylinders don't always suit.

    Also:
    - Fan controllers
    - DVD/Blu-Ray players*
    - Hot-swap drive bays
    - Media controllers
    - Multi-Function panels
    - HDD/SSD adapters
    - Fan cooling units

I also happen to find them bloody useful for easy-installing some of my own mods, to the point where I'd really like a few more (I only have 4).

*I have spent many thousands of pounds on DVDs and I am not about to start getting them on other media just because times move on.

What is the idea of a single USB3 on the front? Micro ATX boards are not exactly flush with USB headers, so it seems a pity to only half use two of them.

I think this is hideous anyway, but as far as 5.25 bays go, I don't have much use for them anymore either. My main rig has a BDRW and I haven't used it in months. My next case wont have one at all, I'll just get a USB one and get it out when I need it.

One USB 3.0 maybe because the other one will be used for a 3.5" card reader.

Ugly looking case designed to visually appeal to 10 year olds.

Because most serious gamers over the age of 16 can afford the better looking ones.

I personally don't think it looks bad at all. Fairly quiet taste, reasonable styling and pretty straightforward. No gaudy lights, flourescent coloured panels or funky, hip shapes, with just a hint toward sports car designs.

Would probably suit a budget/first-time builder who isn't (as yet) so fussed about feature-laden cases that cost more than their car... such as the 49-year-old friend of mine who only just got his first proper PC (he used to have a Mac!!).

PSU at the top? Cable management hell and PSU air intake from CPU area, anyone?

    This looks OK: http://www.eteknix.com/cougar-spike-...ssis-review/4/

Fair enough if you have a modular supply and one drive, but otherwise that's going to get messy. And there's still the extra heat at PSU intake: at this price point second rate capacitors are a likelihood.

Both the USB2 and USB3 cables are full size, so neither can be shared with a card reader.
