So basically Moore's Law but a bit faster to catch up with ##nm used by others ie. looks like 12month cycle instead of the usual 18-24months. For 2014 to 2016 = about 2 years = 2 Shrinks (32nm to 16nm) = half the width in each direction = 0.25 of the area = 0.25 power consumption = 4x transistors in the same area = potential 4x performance (or trade power for performance or the other way around).
