The choice of titles seems a bit underwhelming......there are some gems there but it does look like they have targeted titles that aren't too taxing (although I guess that isn't surprising)

The price is going to have to be fairly low IMO, limited title support and the joy of lag....Maybe Netlix territory @ £7.99 per month

I wish I had the bandwidth here to try it out, sometimes I struggle just streaming from my PC ! As for an acceptable pricing structure, I'd be willing to pay £5 a month for unlimited use if my internet connection was fast enough.

They should keep it free. If the don't then the shield tablet becomes nothing more than just another android tab. If you really want to shift your hardware keep it as a product differentiator to make it stand out from the crowd.

+1, as you say, without Grid, the Shield is just YAAT (yet another android tablet). Although, with Grid as a free (or sub £5/month service) then an X1 powered Shield might be on my Christmas list. I could do with a good gaming tablet to replace the Note I'm using at the moment.

Grid should remain free for shield users (i have one and never bother with grid) and be a subscription based app for PC and tablets but only once they have a better selection of games, as if right now i own most of the grid games on steam that i am interested in.

Not sure I understand your rational, shield will always allow to stream from your own PC while playing your own games. Now if you want to play on a machine in the cloud, it doesn't shock me that there should be a cost associated: You don't have to buy the HW, you don't have to buy the game... I think up to £20 a month would be a very good offer...

If you already had a PC with a nvidia gfx card then you probably already got those games and could stream them from PC to tablet already. Those are the people that are currently likely to be interested in getting a Shield tablet when they look at buying a tablet.

The problem for nvidia is that relatively speaking that is a small part of the overall tablet sales market. If they want to get more market share then the really have to aim this at more causal gamers and non pc gamers. To get those larger parts of the tablet sales market you need to stand out and not be another me too android tablet which is where using this could pull more people to their tablet but I doubt they would choose it if they had to pay much or if anything for the service.
