Battery could do with a bigger bump than that. That Gunmetal grey one looks nice though.

Re: HTC One M9 details and photos leaked ahead of MWC reveal

32GB storage/3GB RAM/MicroSD and Octocore for £550? Hmm, sound like pretty good value for money for a top-line smartphone. I was kind of hoping for something distinctive from the current M8, although since that phone seems to be well-regarded in the looks department then maybe I'm being a bit picky.

I'll be staying with my LG G3 though, (mainly due to lack of gadget budget, but also because the G3 is working pretty darned well).

Career status: still enjoying my new career in DevOps, but it's keeping me busy...

Looks nice. I just wish HTC would drop the sense UI (and in the same respect samsung should drop touchwiz). I understand why they want to differentiate but they should do so in cost/look as the vanila android UI is just nicer (and hence why I use a nexus 5)
    Trust

    Laptop : Dell Inspiron 1545 with Ryzen 5500u, 16gb and 256 NVMe, Windows 11.

I think what you want in that case is the nexus phone

Those aren't available in the UK, are they? Looks like they only do Nexus devices and smart watches

I had no idea. I prefer Sense but did flash a GPE rom to test Lollipop early on.....

However, going with HTC's past tradition, it is likely that the device will go on sale immediately after launch.
Speaking to a friend who works for Orange, they have posters up in the office stating orders from 1 March, which backs this up.

That's good to know. Been in the lookout for a new phone after Google decided to inflate the Nexus 6 to phablet proportions and my Nexus 5 Lollipop performance has been awful. Looks like a pretty decent spec jump too. Will miss vanilla android though. Always nice to get new software updates soon after release!

    Octocore!! LMAO!!!!

If only more cores actually meant more performance in the mobile market, octo-core is as useful as Monopoly money.

Wow at £550 you could buy yourself a top end phone from almost all manufacturers (including Apple!!)

I'm almost near to deciding to start my debut of a smartphone. This one maybe a choice? Battery life and looks are important.

Three official promo videos have emerged showing off the new HTC flagship smartphone and all its standout features.
Here are the three - since deleted - videos rolled into one by an enterprising YouTuber:

You don't have to get stroppy just because you bought a crappy iPhone mate

£550 has been about the price for all non-apple flagship smartphones. Only Apple (and now Samsung with the edge) have tried to up the prices so far.
