32GB storage/3GB RAM/MicroSD and Octocore for £550? Hmm, sound like pretty good value for money for a top-line smartphone. I was kind of hoping for something distinctive from the current M8, although since that phone seems to be well-regarded in the looks department then maybe I'm being a bit picky.

I'll be staying with my LG G3 though, (mainly due to lack of gadget budget, but also because the G3 is working pretty darned well).

Looks nice. I just wish HTC would drop the sense UI (and in the same respect samsung should drop touchwiz). I understand why they want to differentiate but they should do so in cost/look as the vanila android UI is just nicer (and hence why I use a nexus 5)

They do Google Play Editions if you want without Sense.

That's good to know. Been in the lookout for a new phone after Google decided to inflate the Nexus 6 to phablet proportions and my Nexus 5 Lollipop performance has been awful. Looks like a pretty decent spec jump too. Will miss vanilla android though. Always nice to get new software updates soon after release!

£550 has been about the price for all non-apple flagship smartphones. Only Apple (and now Samsung with the edge) have tried to up the prices so far.
