Just when I thought RAM couldn't get more bling....
The most nerd bling thing ever, i'm in love
I'm interested... but it has to beat my Crucial Ballistix Tactical Tracer RAM!!
"Exquisite packaging" coloured blister pack then?
Pure tat.
I love them, but I wouldn't consider buying them unless they came in black
If I had those then I would just have to start cooling my CPU with a lava lamp.
+1 on that ... and unlike the Avexir units, the CBTT sticks can be set to pulse in proportion to memory load/accesses. Which can be quite useful in itself when Windows goes into one of it's "I'm not speaking to you" fugues - at least the memory flashing proves that the system is "thinking" rather than "crashed".
This would be perfect for my Blue/White upcoming build...
o.o
Yes, let's put an unshielded high-power high-frequency RF noise emitter inside your PC case, right next to main system memory.
What could possibly go wrong.
Precisely - The one thing I *don't* have in my case is any plain LED strips or accent lighting. I insist on having a practical reason for all my light-up blingy mods.
Same idea behind my Lightning GPU - With the light-up logo, I can see when it's under load and know (roughly) how heavy a load.
It's all about having options for your bling... and having an actual purpose behind that bling, too!
CBTT RAM actually has several patterns which all take their cues from the activity/load and you can have a different pattern on each RAM stick. You also get two colour options independently assignable to both the top and the slot ends of each individual stick (sets come in red & green or blue & orange).
That is what Avexir is up against and when gaming in the dark, much of their admitedly gorgeous design here just won't show up.
Never heard of Avexir. Anyone else ?
I'd be all for them but I think I would get annoyed because in all 8 dimms they wouldn't all be facing the same way lol
OMG, DDR4 please!
