    I was thinking about using this as an HTPC and (thanks to Virgin TV anywhere) cable set top box.

    At that price I will think again

    hmmm... £80 for a nexus player or £130ish (the intel will soon drop I would guess) for a full blown windows mini pc. I know which way I'd go.

    You could get an AM1 mini itx system for a lot less than that.

    I've given up looking at these HDMI PCs or media streamer boxes. Last month I bought a Asus Vivo VM40 mini PC to use for a media player.

    Bought from the US because it was so much cheaper than the UK, even with the import duty.

    It's only a dual core Celeron CPU, but it's enough to play back full HD video via XBMC whilst running as a torrent box too.
