I'd like to see it gone but the Scottish wont have it ! They'd be even more miserable....

I'm Scottish and myself + everyone I know would be happy with it gone
I hate it... It should be abolished.
Set it to summer time & then leave it.
it need to change, it screw up my wake ups for no reason.
I only lose from this because it take a week to get back on track.
Im in 2 minds about this, i really detest losing that hour of sleep in the spring but I do love the extra hour in my bed in the autumn. My solution therefore is to stop putting the clocks forward in the spring and only put them backwards in the autumn. Everyone gets an extra hour in bed once a year, everyones happy, cant see a problem with that at all.
Oh most definitely, abolish it. Keep BST. Love the long evenings, getting home from work in the daylight is excellent.
Yeah it seems kind of antiquated now. I don't really see the point, so I would just get rid of it.
News to me. I didn't realise we were forcing DST on everyone, we shall have to summon the Clans and discuss this over Haggis, shortbread and deep fried mars bars. It's especially surprising since I don't recall ever having met anyone who likes it....
You never know, getting rid of it may make us a little less miserable. Might be difficult though...

Heck, yes, DST should be abolished! It neither "saves" daylight nor promotes as once claimed, energy savings. DST is nothing more than a royal pain in the arse.
It was trialled in the late 1970s. It was dire. In Winter it didn't get light until 9 ish in the morning. It was still getting dark at 5 pm, worst of all worlds. The minor inconvenience at changing the clocks is more than compensated for by the better use of what daylight there is in winter.

I am utterly, completely and, I think, irreversibly, dedicated to the viewpoint that .... I don't give a damn.
Abolish it, make it permanent or keep changing, DILLIGAD?
For all of you who say it doesn't matter because of street lighting etc don't understand why it was introduced. It's not for commuters, it's For the farmers.
Prefer to stop it - takes me forever to work out how to change the clock on my oven and by the time I've done it the oven light no longer turns on....
Best read for you're self's... Now, whilst I am only reading this I'm sure the people of Scotland have different view's. Its your government that is holding the rest of the UK back !

I don't really see the point of it. It's getting dark at 21:00 now, what exactly are we saving?
