If it's less than a millimetre square, why does the image above show it's 10mm?
Wonder how many passes it took to create the coin image?
The depth resolution looks great though.
If scaling it up is as easy as they say they should release a much higher resolution version just to really show it off at it's best.

Unfortunately, it would STILL need temporal binning in order to sense depths deeper than the sensor itself. Great for very near field sensing like with the coin (sensor passes right over the surface), but if you want to do remote depth sensing you'll end up with depths 'stacked' into a repeating sequence a few mm thick.
