I wonder if this affects your statutory rights xD
Loonacy.
I'm not anti-Apple in the slightest (I use an iPhone!), but this device is sheer lunacy. And everyone who buys one is probably a lunatic.
Say they reject you returning it, isn't that against the 14 day law?
Considering you can get a (24K!) Gold, platinum, or rose gold-plated iPhone 6 Plus for no more than $5k, phone included, this isn't the best deal out there...XD
Yes you can. But if the value of the goods has diminished beyond that required to establish the "nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods" then the seller can make a deduction to reflect that dimished value.
The right to return the goods doesn't disappear under the new law, but expecting the seller to eat the "diminished value" does.
And as far as I can tell, Apple's return policy pretty much idenyically reflects their legal obligation .... for "distance" sales, at least.
Oh, and technical point ... the DSR is dead and gone. It's replaced by the CCR, Consumer Contracts ( blah, blah) Regs 2013, in force since (IIRC) about June last year.

This really isn't a huge surprise is it?
Really expensive watch has stringent returns policy? And is inspected very closely upon return. Surely it should be more surprising if they just accept whatever you say and make you sign a little returns note?
(Note; if you purchase this item, you have too much money. Want a smart watch, get a smart watch. Want a really expensive 'occasion' watch, buy a really expensive 'occasion' watch. The iWatch edition is just a the worst of both worlds, very expensive and obsolete in a couple years time)
They should just all it and charge a 'restocking fee' and be done with it. Same thing, less waffle.
I just love the "sport band"... because playing sports with a fragile $10,000 watch on your wrist is normal right.
