    I was thinking that too. I think it seems like all they have left is to go back to the beginning. At this point its no longer a soldier game, its almost Quake with monsters and giant killing robots.

    Agreed, but why limit yourself to WWI? Going earlier could also allow some shift away from "run, run, shoot, shoot" to melee tactics. And if you want that stealth aspect then how about feudal Japan - CoD:Ninja's anyone? Heck, steal an idea from Assassin's Creed and do some revolutionary wars, (US and France). Maybe doing that will encourage the teenie potty-mouths to actually do some history revision...

    By the way, I count myself as a big fan of CoD2. That, and CoD4 are still the high points of the series for me.

    Career status: still enjoying my new career in DevOps, but it's keeping me busy...

    From what I understand, a WWI CoD would be fairly dull. Sit in trench, sit in trench, get shelled, sit in trench, sit in trench. OVER THE TOP! Dead.
