2016: Cannonlake vs Zen
..two may enter, one may leave (in honour of a certain movie about to be released)
LOL yeah right Intel showed of actual 14nm chips for the first time in 2013 and there still limited availability.
No way 10nm in 2016 when Intel hasn't even shown off a wafer of 10nm SRAM let alone actual chips.
£10 on a 2017 release
If this is correct, Skylake will get a refresh in 2016, rather than Cannonlake emerging on desktop.. I would have thought Intel might want to speed up it's chip progression, if AMD's Zen is coming next year?
Only 2 quarters for Skylake-U/Y? Colour me unconvinced.
You know who else is showing this graphic? The outfit mentioned in this very article that put out the patently fake benchmarks 2 weeks ago for Skylake. And given that every reputable site that's ever reported on the upcoming series, including Intel, calls it Cannonlake (note the lack of a space), what are the odds that Cannon Lake, in all of it's incorrect glory, would show up on an 'official, but leaked' Intel slide.
/sigh...
I guess faking slides is an interesting hobby for some. There seem to have been an awful lot recently though.
*Tin hat mode* Maybe it's a conspiracy funded by Intel to push out AMD's limelight
