C'mon, we're talking about HD capacity here, you know damn well it's not going to be 2048 GiB. It's probably not even 1900GiB.

Re: Win a £2,000 Cyberpower Infinity Xtreme X99 Cube PC

Of all the years entering hexus competitions, this is the prize I want to win most. What an amazing looking pc. Something I couldn't afford myself, and my old q6600 is getting very old these days!

    thanks Hexus & Cyberpower!

Being a binary guy (1024 MB to 1 GB) I dislike the answers available

No, it's 42. The answer is always 42.
It's just the question you need to figure out...

Is it bad that I had to use Excel to calculate the answer...?

Re: Win a £2,000 Cyberpower Infinity Xtreme X99 Cube PC

HDD manufacturers use "decimal" versions, so their 1GB = 1000MB, 1TB = 1000GB, and so on, in case anyone needs to figure it out.

Yeah, I wasn't happy answering a question that uses dumbed down decimal Terabytes - winning the prize will take me a long way along the healing process

I ran a Crystal Ball simulation with 10,000,000 trials, to try and ascertain the most likely answer

Re: Win a £2,000 Cyberpower Infinity Xtreme X99 Cube PC

So 2.4 x 10^12 will show up as 2235GB, the memory is DDR-2400 so it's running at 1200Mhz and the Corsair case's model number is CC-9011070-WW

I get an answer of 0.00038.

Nice choice of system though, it has good performance and all the bells and whistles that you'd never add yourself but are really nice to have on a contest prize.
