More importantly - are you getting a card for review? It seems that some sites (Kitguru, PCPer) have been dropped due to negative publicity/Nvidia shilling.
Just fast enough to tweak Nvidia's nose.
GPU releases today are all about just doing enough to claim the lead and nothing more.
Been dropped, or simply there aren't enopugh review cards to go round everyone who wants them? Far too much opportunity for sour grapes for me to take that too seriously.
As to the question, based on AMD's own performance claims it should be around 37.5% faster than a 290X. That makes it almost bang on the Titan X performance going by the Far Cry 4 figures that were used as an illustration earlier this week....
Yeah I didn't mean to suggest that Hexus were shilling lol, just that the reason for why those other 2 were dropped was because of what you say - not enough cards - and that AMD appears to be hand-picking review sites. Seems Tarinder has one though so all is well.
As for the benchmark, from what I've seen it's practically the same as Titan X in Firestrike however I'm beginning to wonder about gaming performance. I won't be surprised if it ends up 10% slower than the 980 Ti.
I expect it to be just as fast as it was designed to be for a given benchmark, in much the same way that all video cards sold to the general public are, including Nvidia. In other words, it will be marketed as the best thing since Betty White, at least until the new rumors start circulating next summer.
(Betty White came before sliced bread - ergo, Betty White > sliced bread)
From what I've seen I think in most true (GameWorks nonsense) tests the Fury and Titan cards will be within single digit percentages of each other with the odd larger swing in a few games.
There's a review on guru3d http://www.guru3d.com/articles-pages...-review,1.html
EDIT: Sorry getting carried away. This is not for the fury x, two different cards

AMD have already posted performance figures using games mainly biased towards Nvidia cards, they show it beats even the Titan X in most games, i don't know how good the 980Ti and Titan X are at overclocking, but the Fury X is claimed to be an Overclockers dream. so i guess the Fury X will kick butt on average some 20% better when wound up.
I expect it to be just above 3300, but we will see that, cheers!
I expect them to be right up there with Nvidia's best gaming cards. If not, then better (at least for OC'ing capability with the Hbm). But, I don't think it even matters if that's the case. As long as they are at least close to Nvidia's top end cards and compete well in regards to costs
And the honest trust from me, is that I would like to see them absolutely destroy Nvidia Gpu's and sell like crazy. Not to put Nvidia out of the game, but to balance out sales a bit more so that they can use that money to research and build better new hardware and keep them self up there with Nvidia and Intel.

Really think we going to see the real results in directx 12 to be honest
"what kind of score would it take to push you into instabuy territory?"
Double the performance of a R9 290, and less fan noise. That would make it instabuy for me.
As much as I want a competitive market, I couldn't give a damn about this. I've already bought a GTX 970 due to the price, availability and efficiency (not too much of a concern, but the lack of noise is a welcome attribute for me).
Unless AMD unleash a true behemoth at a respectable price, they've missed the boat by a long way this time. The new AMD card might be good, but they're going to have to go a long way to make me part ways, but frankly they're probably too late anyway.
Kudos to them for introducing HBM to the mainstream, but unless the reviews blow the predictions out of the water, I'll be skipping. I've recently parted with £300 for a 970 and I'm not exactly excited about parting with £500 more.
Faster than it's going to be
