I'm not sure why my brain does it, but that much copper just makes me want to hang it above an AGA with a load of copper pans like an old farmhouse kitchen.

    Also, 3 power connectors? Jesus.

Wonder what the FPS vs Cost ratio is going to be compared to a standard 980Ti.

The default BIOS will appeal to "mainstream gamers/users that are lazy and don't really wanna overclock or overvolt, but still want the best frame rates 'Out of the box'," teased Lucido.
Marketing genius right there, I'm not "lazy" you frickwit I just don't really have the time or inclination to heavily tweak and slog through cycles of twiddling and testing. Looks like EVGA is now on my semi-irrational blacklist.

I look at that though and think ha good, because like a lot of people who work with computers, our efficiency has grown into laziness

Beautiful card. Those kingpins often have 3 power connectors

It's an overclocker speaking to overclockers on a super-niche forum, it's not a press release.

"Cheaper than an M&S prawn sandwich but probably wouldn't last as long" wasn't a press release either

If it's aim to be overclocked, why is on air and not water cooled?

Or why does it have any cooler at all when you'd use LN2?

It was a comment, taken out of context, about a non official OC bios that will be available as a download that will put the card on the same level as a Titan-X. Made by an Extreme Overclock that pushes his HW harder than like 97% of the world. If you want to stop buying EVGA products over that...LOL

Last I checked Kingpin wasnt the CEO of EVGA.....thats a huge difference. If you are the CEO of a company, whether its a press release or not is irrelevant. You have to watch what you say. Your comment is an apples to lampshade comparison.

Hence why it's my semi-irrational list! The guy just comes across as someone whose LN2 habit I don't want to fund, regardless of whether its an official communique or if he's a company director.

Some prefer value lower power draw, quietness and stability over a few extra %, does not make them lazy.

Looks nice, have to kind of agree with an earlier poster. The copper doesn't do the brace justice. Contrasts badly imo.

Joking aside, has there ever been a GPU with an external power supply? Seems like it'd be more economical than upgrading your PSU, and you could turn it off and rely on bus power for general desktop work.

This is looking good, that is if you want to use LN2 or DICE
